Berthe number one in Basketball Africa League for round 1

Souleymane Berthe (SF-2000, agency: The French Family Consulting) had an amazing evening in the last round for Stade, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 22-year old player tried to help (34 points, four rebounds and three assists) his team in a lost game to US Monastir (#2, 2-0) 68-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Stade is placed at 4th position in Basketball Africa League. Stade is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 1st lost game this season out of 2 games. In the team's last game Berthe had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Stade and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Souleymane Berthe has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.0ppg. Berthe is in league's top in and averages impressive 72.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Delwan Graham (200-F-1988, agency: BIG) of league's leader REG. Third on the list of top players last round was another Stade's star - forward Aliou Diarra (F-2001). Diarra scored 14 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Diarra's great performance Stade lost 68-78 to #2 ranked US Monastir. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Stade needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Diarra has a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 14.0rpg (#1 in league).
